"I don't like you, you are black."
"I don't like her, she is white."
"Does it matter?" I had asked.
"Yes. We are not alike."
Powerful words affect ones mind.
We feel too good to apologize.
Is it possible to stop for once?
Don't think of colors, but of their hearts.
Are they loving respectful and kind?
Or stubborn with too much pride?
If it's the first three take a chance,
And if it's not, still take a stand.
If they behave in a selfish way,
Guide them into a better sense.
For God created us to think for ourselves,
But to do this some people need help.
Black, white, doesn't matter;
Not alike, but we're still partners.
Partners in this fight for unity, respect, and love
That God started at the sound of his voice
